Using Website Icon Pack
Prepare a small PNG icon set and installation snippets for a website without uploading the source logo.
How to use it
- Choose a logo, enter your website name, and choose fitting with padding or a centered square crop.
- Choose transparent or solid padding. Enable enlargement only if you accept softer results from a small source.
- Create the icon pack, inspect the small-size previews, then download the ZIP.
- Place the icon files at the paths used by the generated HTML and manifest, or edit those paths for your deployment. Test them on your target browsers.
Worked example
- Input and settings
- A 600 Γ 400 logo, centered square crop and transparent padding.
- Expected result
- Six square PNG files at 16, 32, 48, 180, 192 and 512 pixels, plus site.webmanifest and icons.html in one ZIP.
Limits and common mistakes
- Exports PNG only. No ICO or SVG file is generated. The icon manifest alone does not provide a complete installable PWA.
- Without enlargement, small images keep their original pixel dimensions inside larger padded icon canvases. With enlargement enabled, detail may look softer.
- Input limit: 25 MiB. ZIP uses the existing 50 MiB archive cap; source decoding can still exceed device memory.
- Small icon previews should be checked manually. Platform icon and manifest requirements may change; no universal compatibility is claimed.
