Using Image Color Picker & Palette

Extract reusable colors from a photograph or logo and evaluate chosen text/background combinations.

How to use it

  1. Choose an image and select a palette size of 3, 5 or 8 colors.
  2. Click a sampled pixel or focus the image and use arrow keys. Read its HEX and RGB values.
  3. Click a palette swatch to use it as the contrast foreground, choose a background, and inspect the contrast result.
  4. Copy or download the CSS variables. Use the existing color converter for further color-format work.

Worked example

Input and settings
An opaque image containing a large solid red region and a smaller blue region.
Expected result
The sampled palette prioritizes the red region; picking a solid red pixel reports #ff0000 and rgb(255, 0, 0).
