Image Resizer

Fit a PNG, JPEG, or WebP inside a maximum width and height. Proportions stay the same, and smaller images are never enlarged.

No image selected.

Fit inside these bounds

Leave either field empty to limit only the other. Both bounds form a box: a 640 ร— 480 image inside 320 ร— 100 becomes 133 ร— 100, with whole-pixel rounding. No cropping or stretching.

Using Image Resizer

Prepare an image for a document or upload form that has a pixel-dimension limit, without stretching it or uploading the source file.

How to use it

  1. Choose a PNG, JPEG, or WebP image. Enter a maximum width, a maximum height, or both.
  2. Choose the output format. For JPEG, choose the background that replaces transparent pixels; JPEG and WebP also expose a quality setting.
  3. Inspect the original and output dimensions and actual file size, then download. Clear and reset removes the selected file and restores the defaults.

Worked example

Input and settings
640 ร— 480 image; maximum width 320; maximum height 100
Expected result
133 ร— 100 pixels, rounded to whole pixels. A 100 ร— 50 image within a 1280 ร— 1280 box stays 100 ร— 50.
