๐ŸŒ… PNG to JPG Converter

Prepare a PNG for an upload form that requires JPEG.

Choose an image to begin.

Need to limit height as well as width? Open the image resizer. Choose the image again there; files are not transferred between pages.

About converting PNG to JPG

Use JPEG when the receiving service requires it or when an opaque photograph suits your workflow. JPEG compression can reduce some photo files, but screenshots and line art may show visible artifacts and the file is not guaranteed to be smaller.

PNG transparency must become a solid background in JPEG. Choose the color before converting and inspect the edges of logos or cut-out objects. White is the default.

JPEG is lossy. Raising the quality setting may preserve more detail but increases some file sizes. This is format conversion, not a promise to meet a byte limit; use the image compressor when an upload limit matters.

The image conversion runs in your browser without uploading your file. Keep the original: this creates a still image and does not promise to preserve animation, metadata, or color profiles.

Using PNG to JPG Converter

Shrink a screenshot or exported graphic into a JPEG when an upload form rejects PNG or complains the file is too big.

How to use it

  1. Drop the PNG onto the upload area or click to choose it.
  2. Pick Background for transparent areas: white suits documents, but match the page color if the image will sit on a dark site.
  3. Move Quality (it starts at 90). Lower values give smaller files but blur text and add blocky noise around sharp edges.
  4. Optionally enter Max width, compare the byte size in the stats line with the original, then click Download.

Worked example

Input and settings
A 640 ร— 480 PNG logo with a transparent background; background #ffffff; Max width 320
Expected result
A 320 ร— 240 JPEG where the transparent area is solid white.
